Karmine Corp beat SK to finish the LEC Summer Split undefeated

Karmine Corp just finished the LEC Summer Split 2026 undefeated with a score of 9-0. KC’s final opponent on their way to complete this feat was SK Gaming. Now, they’re waiting for the start of the LEC playoffs on September 5, where they’ll try to finally win another split.
Karmine Corp finishes the LEC Summer Split regular season undefeated
With their win against SK Gaming, KC confirms their 9-0 finish in the Summer Split’s regular season. This is the second time a team has ever done that in the history of the LEC. (We’re excluding Summer 2025 as it had a regular season of only four series per team.)
Before KC, the only team to pull off an undefeated split was Fnatic, in their legendary 2015 Summer Split. Arguably, Karmine Corp had an easier job. KC went undefeated in series, while FNC didn’t have the leeway of losing any individual games.
Still, Karmine Corp put up a masterclass in the LEC Summer Split 2026. With a game score of 18-2, they’re also the only team to have a game win rate of 90% or above since Fnatic in 2015. As any esports betting guide will tell you, these stats are important if you are looking to wager on the LEC playoffs. KC’s only two game losses were against G2 Esports in the first week of the split, then against Shifters in their penultimate match.
All undefeated teams in the LEC’s history
Only KC and FNC finished a long split winning every series. However, there were technically four occurrences of a team ending a split without a series loss. Each of them was a Summer Split. Here’s a look at their past LoL stats.
- Summer 2015: FNC finished the regular season 18-0, in best-of-ones.
- Summer 2016: In the best-of-two split, G2 ended with ten wins, eight ties, and no loss.
- Summer 2025: With a group stage, this regular season was only four matches long. G2 went 4-0 and didn’t lose a single game either.
- Summer 2026: KC’s current undefeated split, finishing at 9-0 in best-of-threes.

Will KC win the LEC Summer Split 2026?
The three previous rosters that finished a regular season undefeated went on to win the split. KC has been an excellent team since Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert joined, always finishing the regular season in the top two for the past six splits.
However, they only managed to win the first of those six splits. Each time since, G2, Movistar KOI, or even Fnatic knocked them out. Spring 2026 was even the first time that they qualified to the international stage since Winter 2025.
This time though, Movistar KOI has lost their claim to the top three. In fact, one of FNC and MKOI will miss the Summer playoffs.
More importantly, Karmine Corp currently looks great. KC went to the final in the 2026 Esports World Cup after beating Anyone’s Legend and T1. When they returned to EU, they didn’t lose the spark they brought there.
Karmine Corp is the only team in Europe that consistently closes out the games they have a lead in. Every other one regularly throws when ahead.
As it stands, KC looks like the favorite to win the LEC Summer Split 2026. However, so did they in the past two splits, and it was G2 who ended up winning. This time again, G2 will power up for the playoffs, even though they’ve also been guilty of occasionally throwing their leads.
