The League of Legends EMEA Championship is the tier 1 European League of Legends tournament. In the LEC Summer 2026 Regular Season, ten teams play a best-of-three single round robin to determine which six teams will advance to the playoffs. Then, the top three there will qualify for the League of Legends World Championship, the pinnacle of LoL Esports.
While the LEC was all about Fnatic in its early years, they’ve all but fallen from grace and haven’t won a title since 2018. In their stead, G2 Esports now reigns over Europe with 19 out of 27 playoff victories since they joined the stage in 2016.
In the LEC Summer 2026, Karmine Corp is G2’s sole rival. Together, they make up an unreachable top two, while the rest of the league fights over third place. Movistar KOI used to round out the EU trifecta, but a sustained lack of results from the Spanish team has dropped them out of the equation this year.
