The League of Legends EMEA Championship is the tier 1 European League of Legends tournament. In the LEC Summer Playoffs 2026, six teams compete in a best-of-five double elimination bracket. The top three will book their tickets to the 2026 League of Legends World Championship in October.
For the past decade, G2 Esports has been the undisputed king of the LEC. In Winter and Spring 2026, Karmine Corp took over as champions of the regular season, and Summer has been no different. However, G2 is a different beast in the playoffs, and they won both of those splits.
Now, KC showed a much greater level at the 2026 Esports World Cup where they managed to take down T1. Since then, they’ve been the only European team capable of consistently closing out games without throwing their lead.
There’s no doubt that KC and G2 will make the top two, as the other four teams lag far below them. The question is in which order. So far though, their head-to-head goes 6-1 in favor of G2 across playoff matches since 2025.
