Keria resigns with T1, extends contract for 3 years

Ryu “Keria” Min-seok has signed an extension to his contract and will keep playing support for T1 until 2029. The three-time World champion first signed with the team in 2021 and will extend that streak for at least nine years.

Keria re-signs a three-year extension with T1 until 2029

Keria extends his contract with T1 for another three years. Until now, his previous contract signed in January 2025 was set to last until November 2026.

Before 2025, T1 had stuck with the same roster for three years, reaching the World final three times and winning the championship twice in a row.

Then, as the community was expecting this line-up to stick together and keep reaching greater heights, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je joined Hanwha Life Esports.

Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon joined in his stead and T1 went on to win their third title in a row. The very next year, history repeated itself and it was Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong’s turn to leave for HLE. Even someone who had spent his entire career on T1 was no guarantee for the org.

As Keria’s contract was set to expire by the end of the year, he was next in line to potentially leave the ship. With this news, that is no longer a concern.

Keria will play with Faker and Oner for almost a decade

The support’s contract will now expire in 2029. In 2025, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun also extended his contract through 2028, and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok through 2029.

Keria joined T1 in 2021 alongside Oner, after spending the first year of his career with DRX. Naturally, Faker had already been there since 2013. Now, the trio will stick together for at least eight years.

T1 players may want to leave due to spending their entire careers with the organization and wanting to explore new horizons. Additionally, they have to face harassment from the community on a level that no other team receives. Even when playing in the most successful League of Legends team in history, T1 has its downsides.

Oner, Faker, and Keria already won the last three LoL World Championships in a row. Will they add 2026 to the list?
