Grand final: GEN vs HLE, KR

The League of Legends Champions Korea has the LCK Cup as its Winter split, then the LCK Season as one big split encompassing both Spring and Summer. Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports play for the one big regional title of the year.

Additionally, they’re playing for seeding at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. While the LCK’s four slots are already decided, the winner of this match will go as the first seed, and the loser as the second seed.

In 2024 and 2025, Gen.G was the team to beat – and almost nobody managed to outside of Worlds. In 2026, they were demoted from this godly status to simply an excellent team. As such, they shuffled around the title of best Korean team with the other Legend Group representatives.

In the LCK Cup, HLE was nowhere to be seen. In Rounds 1-2, they were the best team by a slim margin. In Rounds 3-4, Gen.G took the title back. Now, the playoffs are still the Gen.G show.

In 2026, GEN is 5-1 against HLE. Heading into the grand final, they’re the favorites to make it 6-1 and claim the title.
