Grand final: TL vs LY, US

The League of Legends Championship Series Summer Playoffs is coming to a close and one last match is left. The LCS Summer Playoffs grand final opposes Team Liquid and LYON.

So far, LYON has won the other two finals of 2026. Seen as a successor of 2024-2025 FlyQuest due to Kacper “Inspired” Słoma being the star player of both rosters, this extends his win streak to four splits in a row so far.

On the other hand, Team Liquid’s last LCS title goes all the way back to Winter 2025, and Spring 2024 before that. Between 2024-2025 FlyQuest and now LYON, this is Inspired’s fourth grand final against Team Liquid across eight splits.

Both teams have a star jungler, and they’re both going for completely different playstyle. While Inspired has busted out the occasional Lee Sin, he’s the shotcaller with a slow, very calculated style. LYON’s jungler tries to surprise with his pathing, and swears by responding to plays instead of defending them with a bad fight. On the other hand, Brandon “Josedeodo” Joel Villegas is the playmaker, and his Lee Sin is actually known and feared.
