Razer Project AVA lets you summon AI Faker to your desk

Razer has revealed Project AVA, an AI desk companion that appears as a small, 3D hologram. AVA can take several forms, and one of them is none other than League’s very own GOAT Faker. In just a few months, you can receive Korean advice from the legend himself without even leaving your house!

What is Razer’s Project AVA?

Faker as a desk companion

AVA is a desk companion that takes the shape of a 5.5” hologram. According to Razer, the AI assistant “features a dynamic personality that learns and evolves based on your interactions.”

AVA comes in several shapes. There’s AVA, the Razer logo in a blob; Kira and Zane, two human-like characters; and the Japanese model SAO (this line-up isn’t final). Most importantly, though, there’s also Faker. You’d be excused to think Faker is a random addition here, but other than being one of the most notable esports players in history, Faker has a close relationship with Razer, having worked with the company extensively in the past.

According to Razer, these avatars use “high-fidelity motion, eye-tracking, and facial expressions” to make them feel more immersive. That way, you can feel like you’re on the Worlds stage when Faker teaches you how to first-time Dr. Mundo.

Project AVA’s purpose: Not just a gaming coach

AVA (and its many personalities) is meant to help organize your daily life, not just support your gaming sessions. That way, Faker can keep track of your jungle timers and the rest of your calendar. This AI acts as a wellness and routine coach, noting down habits and moods and giving motivating speeches.

This companion also gives ideas on food choices or wardrobe selection. The advice is personalized, so AI Faker can help you choose what to wear and what to eat.

How does AVA work?

AVA works using Grok’s AI. However, Razer intends to support compatibility with other major AI models by the time it launches. Project AVA requires a USB connection to a Windows PC. The avatar also sits in its booth and can’t roam beyond its lane.

Project AVA will be released in the second half of 2026, and Razer hasn’t disclosed the price of the companion. But with the AI supporting your daily life, you’ll never overcook food again thanks to Faker’s lessons in microwave management.
