Spirit magixx at IEM Kraków: “Once I see that we are playing good, I can expect us to win anything”

Spirit are one of the CS2 betting favorites to win IEM Kraków, even tough they made two changes during the break, and changed leadership.

We got to speak to Spirit’s new IGL, Boris “magixx” Vorobiev, during media day.

Bruno: Hello magixx, we’re here at IEM Kraków, congrats on making the playoffs.

What are your thoughts on your team’s performance so far in the tournament?

magixx: It’s fine.

Bruno: You were in the quarter-finals at BLAST Bounty.

Do you take anything away from that tournament?

magixx: Yeah, it was a bad tournament, and we made… Well, the goals were set right after, like what we should work on, and we are doing it here.

Bruno: Obviously you became an IGL over the break.

How does your IGLing compare to chopper’s IGLing? Is there a difference?

magixx: I feel like it’s too early to compare; I’ll find out later.

Since becoming an IGL, has your relationship with hally changed? Do you talk to him more?

magixx: Yes, I do.

Bruno: You haven’t played with tN1R before on the other version of the team.

What do you think about him as a player?

magixx: He has the potential and he has the… I mean, like the personality-wise and skillset-wise, he is capable of doing great work.

Bruno: Obviously, with the SMG buffs, I think you like them, the MP7.

What do you think about them overall?

magixx: Oh, I think this is very good, because currently it’s a pretty good weapon to use and sometimes it might be better than having an MP9.

Bruno: Yeah, and what are your goals for the upcoming events?

Do you want to just win them all or are you setting lesser goals because of the recent change?

magixx: Once I see that we are playing good, I can expect us to win anything. But before that, I cannot be expecting anything.
