If it weren’t for Team Vitality, Team Spirit might still be the most revered team in Counter-Strike. If it weren’t for Team Vitality, MOUZ may have gotten considered as the top team in Counter-Strike. Instead, Vitality’s 2025 dominance has been so thorough that other teams are struggling to find second-place bones to pick.
MOUZ broke Vitality’s lengthy winning streak and now, they’ll face Team Spirit to decide which team wins the tournament and starts making their own push toward taking the top spot on the rankings

MOUZ vs Team Spirit in-depth team, match analysis
Team Vitality is out of IEM Cologne and, shockingly, that means that MOUZ and Team Spirit are set to play in the event’s finals. It’s a jarring notion, given how Vitality has won every tournament it has played in dating back to February.
MOUZ was the team that had the honor of breaking that winning streak. There wasn’t any one thing that MOUZ did to solve Team Vitality’s proverbial puzzle. Vitality made a few key mistakes in important rounds and MOUZ managed to consistently punish them and convert that into economy-busting wins. ZywOo was also jarringly unimpactful, getting out-fragged by Dan “apEX” Madesclaire. The full MOUZ roster was great in the series, but Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás was the key driver of that success with a 40-19 KD and 1.48 rating.
This version of MOUZ is going to be extremely difficult to beat, so can Team Spirit pull it off?
The Russian squad got the better of MOUZ during the IEM Cologne group stage, which was largely driven on Danil “donk” Kryshkovets’s individual firepower being backed up by his team. While donk will get his kills in victory or defeat, the question is whether Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov or Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia will be able to deliver, too.
Precedent shows they can, but the odds suggest they won’t be able to.

Map pool
- Team Spirit has a decisively winning record across all the maps it plays on, with its weakest number being a 9-6 record on Mirage this year. The team has been downright terrifying on Dust 2 this year, going 21-3 so far.
- MOUZ’s go-to map is Mirage but its best options in terms of winrates are Train and Nuke. The team has a winning record in 2025 across all maps except for Inferno, where it’s 11-12, and losing its lone match on Overpass.
- MOUZ’s permaban was Anubis but IEM Cologne is the first prominent CS2 event to replace Anubis with Overpass. During the event, MOUZ has been regularly banning Dust 2 and will likely do so against Spirit
- Team Spirit’s permaban this year has been Inferno, which is good news for MOUZ.

MOUZ vs Team Spirit betting picks and predictions
Team Spirit is a modest favorite to win this series, which is a bit of a surprise. Thankfully, that means the offer some workable lines, regardless of which team you’re rolling with.
Best picks
- MOUZ wins @ 2.03 – MOUZ lost the last match against Spirit, but it was a very close series. The EU team has the better record against Spirit and should be hot coming off its win against Vitality.
- Over 4.5 maps @ 2.63 – The head-to-head win rates of each map is extremely competitive, assuming MOUZ continues banning Dust 2. While there’s an X factor in both a returning map in Overpass and the map order, there’s a good chance this series goes the distance.
- MOUZ wins 3-2 @ 4.98 – Correct map score bets in CS2 can win big when it’s a best-of-five. Combine the notions of a five-game series and MOUZ winning, and the result is a potentially five-to-one return.
