Gen.G, the best team in 2026

When it comes to who will win LoL Worlds 2026, prediction markets and all analysts agree that Gen.G should be the front-runners. GEN has been the best team for most of the past three years.
In 2024 and 2025, they only faltered at Worlds. This year, they’ve had more moments of weakness.
The 0-3 elimination against G2 Esports at First Stand caused them to reevaluate the way they play. In turn, they had an unimpressive Spring. Despite being great by any other standards, only great doesn’t cut it for Gen.G – and they failed to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational.
However, they found their playstyle of choice once more this Summer. Gen.G is now a far more proactive team, fixing mistakes that have long plagued them. GEN is still the calculated, methodical team, but they’ve included in this the way the game plays in 2026.
Since going by their new playstyle, no one has managed to stop them and they claimed the title of the LCK. Dplus KIA posed them trouble in the regular season, but they haven’t faced each other in the playoffs. There remains the fact that Gen.G has never managed to even reach the Worlds final no matter their strength, and history looms over them once more. But maybe, just maybe, this time will be the one.
Bilibili Gaming, no longer the golden road

Bilibili Gaming started the year extremely strong. BLG won First Stand, then returned to the LPL and kept beating everyone. Afterwards, coming to MSI, they kept being the undisputed best contestant. It then came crashing down as Hanwha Life Esports beat them in their rematch at the grand final, and thus ended BLG’s potential golden road of 2026.
At Worlds, BLG remains one of the best teams at the tournament, with the potential for being the best. There’s a good reason why the Who will win LoL Worlds 2026 prediction markets give the four Korean teams as front-runners, as well as BLG. The other LPL teams lag in seventh to ninth positions. Yet Bilibili Gaming has market-implied chances of 18%, all the way in second place.
T1, six-time winners

T1 is worse than Gen.G and BLG, they’re also worse than Hanwha Life Esports, and they’re possibly no better than Dplus KIA, G2 Esports, or Anyone’s Legend. However, they’re T1.
The six-time champions have pulled a win out of their hat when they had no business finishing with the trophy. At this point, it’s impossible to bet against them with confidence, and the LoL Worlds betting sites agree. T1 keeps the same level – or even steps up – at Worlds when every other team slightly worsens from the nerves. The Who will win LoL Worlds 2026 prediction markets give them the third-highest market-implied chances, while they’re currently far from being the third best team.
G2 Esports, the hope of Europe

Rasmus “Caps” Winther was the third Hall of Fame inductee for being the beacon of hope. This year, G2 has pushed their limits even further. Finishing in second place at First Stand, then in fourth place at MSI, the LEC champion has once again drawn the attention on them.
In 2026, G2 has a winning record against LCK teams. During most years, they’ve been held back by their lackluster Swiss stages as well as their inability to win against the worse opponents. However, they can punch up without limits. If any Western team can win Worlds, it’s G2.
