ScreaM confirms return to CS with FUT Esports

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom has come out of retirement to play as the sixth man for FUT Esports alongside his brother Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom.

Taking to social media, FUT Esports has announced that it is pulling ScreaM back into the arena. The Turkish organization already fields a roster in Valorant, but they have now set foot into the Counter-Strike 2 landscape as well. Their starting lineup features several well-known and accomplished names from the CS pro circuit, but unsurprisingly, it’s ScreaM that grabs the spotlight even while he joins as the sixth man.

ScreaM will be joined by his brother Nivera, who’s part of the main FUT roster. This marks the third time the duo will play together on the same team, following their stints with Team Liquid and Karmine Corp in Valorant.

ScreaM back in competitive CS2 with FUT Esports

ScreaM has been a household name in Counter-Strike for over a decade prior to his switching to CS2 for FUT. Known for his one-tap frags and crisp aim, he was long considered one of the most mechanically gifted players in the game. So when he left CS for Valorant in 2020, many fans were gutted. Over the next four years, he competed under banners including Team Liquid and Karmine Corp, but never quite found the same level of success as he once had in Counter-Strike.

Now, after more than four years away from the server, ScreaM is back to competitive CS. While he isn’t jumping straight into the tier-one competition as a starting player, his return marks a major moment for both his fans and FUT’s new roster.

ScreaM has stated that his primary focus will be content creation for now as he takes time to assess his path back to proper competitive play. If the team gains stability in the competitive scene, there’s a real chance ScreaM could return to the starting roster. According to the pro player, his main goal with content creation is to prepare for his return to competitive CS, making it clear that he still intends to play the game at its highest level.

The announcement looks to be well-received by the fans, many of whom are just happy to see the legendary player return regardless of circumstance, this time alongside several other notable names. While his may be the most popular name, FUT Esports brings together a potent mix of experience and firepower in what could be an interesting roster coming out of the current Major season.
