Senzu and try join Passion UA

While the winter break wasn’t as action-packed with transfers as some CS2 fans would have hoped, roster moves are back on the menu.

Passion UA was the first tier-one team to pull the trigger, acquiring the services of one of the best CS2 players, Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold, and Santino “try” Rigal.

Here’s what we know about the move and what it means for everyone involved.

Senzu benched no more

If people were to consider CS2 betting on what team Senzu would be joining, following his benching on The MongolZ, virtually no one would predict Passion UA to be his new home.

The Ukrainian organization saw an opportunity to elevate its roster and took it. Senzu is a high-impact player and could be a game-changer for a borderline tier one team like Passion UA.

With the Mongolian rifler within their ranks, they have the ability to become one of the best CS2 teams in the next few months.

Notably, Senzu has joined Passion UA on a loan deal from The MongolZ. This means that there is a huge chance he will return to his former team in the future.

try replaces hallzerk

Passion UA also decided to upgrade their AWPer, benching Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli after 3 years on the active lineup, in favor of try.

Despite being only 21 years old, try has been one of the best AWPers in South America for the past 5 years. However, his teams were never competitive against the world’s best.

Now the Argentine will have the opportunity to prove his skills against European competition in the upcoming CS2 events.

As for hallzerk, he has been a part of this core lineup since July 2022, when he first joined Complexity from Dignitas.  The Norwegian sniper has been a big part of the lineups’ flashes of success throughout the last couple of years.

He should have no trouble finding a new team, in spite of the benching.

Grim might be heading to NRG

Someone has to make way for Senzu, and rumours are that it’s going to be Michael “Grim” Wince. The American rifler is said to be moving back across the pond to NRG.

This would be a big boost to NRG, who already impressed this year with their performance at IEM Kraków. NA would then have two strong teams, NRG and M80, capable of challenging teams in and around the top 10.

If Grim were to make way for Senzu, Passion UA would now be:

• Johnny “JT” Theodosiou
• Nick “nicx” Lee
• Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (coach)
