Stake is an online betting site always looking to extend its reach into the esports market. They have announced a partnership with the CCT (Champion of Champions Tour) to be their exclusive betting partner for English broadcasting.
The CCT is an international tournament that runs in several regions worldwide. GRID organises the event. It recently had a revamp and is now in its second edition. It now boasts more extraordinary prize pools and is one of the largest-scale CS2 events. The current holder of the CCT is Eternal Fire, who won the Global Finals earlier this year. The successive Global Final is set to take place in early 2025. Due to the success of these revamped editions, CCT has already confirmed their intention for future events.
This is the first time Stake has entered into such a partnership. Stake had not previously partnered with any esports event, and it was their first time entering the competitive gaming market. It is a win-win partnership for both sides. This gives Stake an entry point into a new market, a key growth point for them. It is an excellent opportunity for GRID, as Stake wants to grow and will promote this event extensively.
Mikael Westerling, Chief Sales Officer at GRID, recently commented: “Stake’s reputation for innovation, support of traditional sports, and entertainment makes them a perfect partner for the CCT. Together, we look forward to elevating the tournament experience for players, fans, and the entire esports community.”
That statement further backs how this partnership is easily a win for both sides.
With GRID announcing they plan on continuing and providing future CCT events, it might be the best time for Stake to get on board. They are now the exclusive English betting partner and have a huge portion of the CS2 betting market. If this partnership goes well, it is safe to assume that future deals will also be made. Providing Stake with a reliable way into the CS2 and esports betting market.
