Danish tournament organizer BLAST has announced a partnership with prediction market platform Polymarket for the 2026 season.
This partnership will take immediate effect in BLAST’s Counter-Strike and Dota 2 events throughout the year, which will include properties such as the BLAST Premier and BLAST Slam tournaments.
We’ll see Polymarket’s logo make an appearance as early as Dota 2’s BLAST Slam VI tournament, which starts this weekend.
Polymarket will be directly integrated into BLAST’s broadcasts throughout the year. You’ll see the Polymarket logo on desk segments and potentially live on-screen markets throughout the live stream. For those attending BLAST’s arena events in person, you might also see Polymarket booths around the venue.
There are also plans for designated Polymarket streaming booths that are designed for content creators and streamers at the events. We’ll most likely see these in effect for the first time at BLAST Open Rotterdam, which is the first Counter-Strike arena event set to take place in March.

Betting has played an important role in the esports scene for many years. Fans love backing their favorite teams by placing wagers on them before a big match. It makes the viewing experience that much more thrilling, and that’s exactly what Polymarket aims to achieve with this partnership.
Alexander Lewin, the Senior Vice President of Commercial Revenue at BLAST, shared exciting words about the newly-formed partnership and how Polymarket is expected to contribute to the scene:
“Esports is evolving rapidly into a more interactive, data-driven entertainment experience, and we are delighted to team up with Polymarket to bring exciting new engagement opportunities to our fans all around the world. Together, we’re creating something that feels native to esports culture: fast, live, and deeply connected to the action.
This partnership is about enhancing how fans experience competition, whether they’re watching online or inside an arena. We’re proud to join Polymarket’s industry-leading group of partners, alongside the NHL, UFC and the MLS among others, reflecting the growing global recognition of BLAST’s events.”
Over the past few years, prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi have been growing in popularity. Not only can players predict the outcomes of esports and sports events, but they can also bet on real-life events such as politics, and pop culture, too.
However, many people are still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon, as there are serious concerns about insider information and market manipulation, especially if predicting outcomes on areas like politics or corporate events. These concerns are less likely to happen in esports.
The biggest esports events, such as BLAST tournaments, are held in a LAN environment, where referees closely monitor players. Attempts to cheat or alter results are very likely to be noticed.
